Honouring Pillars of Every Family: Partap World School Pathankot Celebrates Grandparents’ Day

Pathankot, Dec 1: Partap World School, Pathankot, celebrated Grandparents’ Day 2025 with immense enthusiasm, honouring the theme “Dedicated to the roots of the family tree.” The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 2000 parents and grandparents, making it one of the most heartwarming and memorable celebrations of the year.
Students from Pre-Nursery to Class 6th showcased their talents in a variety of colourful and engaging performances. The celebration was graced by esteemed guests, including Sh. Romesh Lal, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Sopore Baramulla; Dr. Shobha Prashar, Principal, Shri Rama Chopra Sanatan Dharma Kanya Mahavidyalaya; and Sh. Satish Mahindru, Chairman, The Hindu Urban Co-operative Bank, Pathankot.
The event featured a spectacular lineup of performances, including a Musical Evening, Brass Band display, Ganesh Vandana, Western Dance, Sports Dance, Ballet, Theatre Plays, Arabian Dance, Contemporary Dance, Patriotic Acts, Kathak, Yoga presentations, Prop Dance, and energetic Bhangra.
Theatre plays emerged as the highlight of the event, impressing the audience with powerful storytelling and heart-touching messages.
The primary objective of the celebration was to instill in students the values of love, respect, gratitude, and care for their grandparents—the guiding lights and moral anchors of every family.
Toward the end of the celebration, the special guests expressed their heartfelt sentiments:
Sh. Romesh Lal, shared, “Grandparents are the pillars of strength and wisdom in every home. Celebrating them is a reminder to our young generation to cherish their blessings and unconditional love.”
Dr. Shobha Prashar, stated, “This day reflects school's commitment to nurturing family values among children. Seeing the students perform with such joy and confidence is truly rewarding.”
Sh Satish Mahindru, added, “PWS students poured their hearts into every performance. I am honored to witness an event that strengthens family bonds and honours the legacy of the elders.”
“Speaking on the occasion, Director Mr. Sunny Mahajan, Director Ms. Oshin Mahajan and Principal Ms. Subhra Rani expressed immense pride in witnessing the overwhelming participation and heartfelt performances by the students. They shared that Grandparents’ Day is not just an event, but a powerful reminder of the love, wisdom and values that grandparents pass on to every generation. They emphasized that elders deserve love, dignity and togetherness—not isolation or old-age homes—and that nurturing strong family bonds is the responsibility of every generation.
