DGP reviews functioning of Border Police Post

JAMMU, Dec 3: Director General of Police J&K Nalin Prabhat-IPS accompanied by IGP Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti, DIG JSK Range Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS ,SSP Jammu Joginder Singh-JKPS and other officers of Jammu District, today visited the Border Police Post Chakrohi and Police Station R S Pura in Jammu District.
During the visit, DGP J&K was apprised by the territorial officers regarding the functioning of the Border Police Post(BPP's) and the emerging challenges in border areas.
He also held the security review meeting of the area with concerned officers and on spot directions were given for streamlining manpower requirements of BPP's and upgrading, strengthening overall security grid in the border areas.
DGP J&K also visited Police Station R S Pura. The visit aimed to review the functioning of the police station.
DGP was received by SP Headquarters Jammu, Irshad Hussain Rather, SDPO RS Pura, Gurmeet Singh , and SHO Bishnah,Ravi Singh Parihar.
DGP took a detailed review of the workings of Munshiyaat and CCTNS of the police station. During the visit, the DGP issued directions to the officers to conduct regular casual inspections, ensure the proper updating of police records/registers and maintain the cleanliness of the police station premises.
The DGP also emphasized the importance of meticulous upkeep of official records, including all the registers, and ensuring transparency and accountability in all processes.
The visit was aimed at review working of Police Station on various fronts including crime disposal and at fostering a supportive working environment.
During the visit, the DGP appreciated the efforts of the police personnel for their commitment to duty and encouraged them to continue working diligently to curb criminal elements & maintain law and order in the region.
He reiterated the importance of community-oriented policing to enhance public trust and cooperation.
He stressed on officers for proper implementation of VDG & Border SOP's issued by government on ground by all the stakeholders to further strengthen border security grid & thwart the evil design's of enemy country.
He also directed officers to ensure ARC(Annual Range Classification) of all the police personnel including SPO's is being conducted & completed within the month of December.
The visit concluded with instructions to implement measures for improving efficiency, especially maintenance and updating of all the police registers and records and enhancing the overall functioning of the Police Station.
