Jammu, Dec 10: In a significant development, against drug trafficking,Bishnah Police Station ,Jammu with the active Public support, arrested two individuals during the intervening night of December 9 and 10, 2025, at Pasgal, Bishnah. This is one of unique developments in the fight against against drug menace ,where open,active support of locals helped Jammu Police to nab two drug pddlers,who intended to sell drugs to the youth in the area. It has added one more active dimension to the Antidrug Campaign of Jammu Police,where Public openly came against drug peddlers and helped police in nabbing the drug paddlers. The accused have been identified as Baru, son of Sharief, resident of Khad, Vijaypur, aged 20 years, and Mensha, son of Surmu, resident of Khad, Vijaypur, aged 19 years. According to police officials and local residents, the duo was found carrying approximately 74 grams of a heroin-like substance. On noticing the police patrolling party at Pasgal Bishnah, the suspects allegedly attempted to flee. The locals supporting police patrolling team acted promptly and apprehended both individuals on the spot. Following the recovery, FIR No. 139/2025 was registered against the accused persons, and further investigation has been set into motion.Police is also working to identify backward as well as forward linkages in the cases to book all such individuals in the case. With active public support as in the aforementioned case,Jammu police is committed to identify and book all the drug traffickers and curb the drug menace from Jammu region.
