Early Times Report RAJOURI, Dec 10: Indian Army organized an awareness lecture to commemorate "Human Rights Day" with School Children and Locals at Behramgala on 10 December 2025. Aim of the lecture was to spread awareness about the importance of Human Rights, amongst young generation as well as local populace of Behramgala and nearby areas. Representative of Indian Army delivered lecture on Human Rights, stating Human Rights are the basic rights and freedom that belongs to every person, regardless of their race, gender, nationality, religion, language or social status. These rights include the right to live, freedom of expression, right to education, healthcare and protection from discrimination and injustice. He emphasized that these rights are essential for living a life of dignity, liberty and equality. A total strength of 20 locals (Five Children, Ten Ladies and Five Gents) attended the lecture. During this lecture, representative of Indian Army made a pledge to the gathering, to respect the rights of others, speak up against unfairness and work together to build a world where everyone can live freely and with dignity. He also briefed the youth and locals that it is our collective responsibility to raise awareness about Human Rights, stand against injustice and support equality for all. This gesture and effort by Army was highly appreciated by AWAM. This endeavour by Army to reach out to the population residing in remote areas, where civil administration has limited accessibility, will go a long way in developing and strengthening trust between JAWAN and AWAM. The event also served as a platform to strengthen the bond between Army and the people of this region. It showcased Army's commitment towards service to the nation. |
