| Revenue Enhancement Measures | | | To ensure fiscal prudence while expanding social security, the government has proposed to reduce the rebate on High Speed Diesel by Rs 2 per liter. This will rationalize HSD prices and encourage shift towards cleaner technologies. Even with this reduction, the HSD price in J&K will remain lower than neighboring states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi.
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said the Budget was shaped through wide-ranging consultations and is firmly anchored in inclusive and sustainable growth. “We are building a business-friendly ecosystem that invites innovation and investment, while ensuring that growth reaches every section of society,” he said.
With youth and women identified as key drivers of the future, the government aims to position Jammu and Kashmir as a leading region of development, opportunity and innovation. |
