AMRITSAR, Feb 17: Dr. Salim Ali Zoological Society of Zoology Department of DAV College Amritsar in collaboration with Carrer Counselling, Training and placement cell organized a highly informative lecture on "Career Counselling and Future Prospects". The event aimed to guide and mentor students, helping them navigate the myriad of career options available in the modern professional landscape.
The session witnessed an overwhelming response, with over hundred students in attendance. The keynote address was delivered by Jahnbee Devi, senior executive manager of Amway Company, who emphasized the importance of aligning one's passion with professional skills. The speaker delved into emerging career fields, including wildlife sciences, environmental biotechnology, data analytics, and digital media, while also stressing the continued relevance of traditional vocations.
"The objective of this lecture was to empower the youth with the right information at the right time," said Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta. "In today's competitive world, students often feel overwhelmed by the choices available. Through this initiative, we hope to provide them with a clear roadmap and the confidence to pursue their dreams, much like our patron Dr. Salim Ali, who followed his passion against all odds."
The head of the Department, Dr Neeraj Gupta informed that the interactive session included a detailed presentation on skill development, higher education opportunities and the importance of mental well-being during the decision-making process.
A lively Q&A round followed, where students had their queries regarding competitive exams, course selections, and job market trends answered by the expert panel. |
