UT Administration committed to address problems of general public: LG Ladakh

LEH, Feb 17: Various delegations called on the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, at the LG Secretariat today and apprised him of several key issues related to employment, development, and tourism. A delegation led by Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Shri Mohmad Haneefa Jan, discussed several issues with the Lt Governor. A delegation from Nubra, led by former Councillors- Shri Tsering Sandup and Kunzang Lotus- highlighted development issues in the sub-division.
Skalzang Namgyal Gara from Zanskar raised development matters related to Pipiting and sought the Lt Governor's intervention. Another delegation from Bogdang and Turtuk led by former Executive Councillor Ghulam Mehdi and Councillor Tsering Sandup also raised development issues in the areas. The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to all delegations and assured timely intervention to address their issues. He highlighted Ladakh's vast tourism potential, especially in Nubra and Changthang, particularly in border and rural tourism, stating that all efforts are being made by the Administration to explore new destinations for the benefit of the rural economy and livelihoods of the people.
