Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 10: Today, on 10 April 2026, Albeena Malik, Dy.SP (SHO), Police Station CICE, Crime Branch Jammu, has produced challan against four (04) accused persons all from different states in Case FIR No. 12/2023 U/S 420 IPC r/w 66-D IT Act registered at PS CICE, Jammu, pertaining to an online financial fraud amounting to Rs 98,000/-. Brief facts of the case are that a written complaint lodged by Dr Saima Hamid, alleging that on 22.03.2023 and 23.03.2023, multiple unauthorized transactions amounting to Rs 98,000/- were debited from her J&K Bank account through UPI platforms (Google Pay/Paytm) to various accounts. During investigation, it was revealed that the defrauded amount had been transferred to multiple bank accounts linked to accused persons across different states. Upon collection of evidence and establishing their involvement, the challan has been produced against accused from different states of the country before the Hon'ble Court of Sub Judge, Jammu for judicial determination. The investigation was conducted by DySP Albeena Malik under the close supervision of Ramnish Gupta-JKPS, SSP CICE J&K. The CICE appeals to the people to don't fall prey/ trap to online investments or any other allurements which promises unrealistic profits and citizens are advised not to share banking details, OTPs, or click on suspicious links.
