Early Times Report KATRA, Apr 10: In a continued effort to strengthen security arrangements for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Sh. Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, conducted a comprehensive security review of the yatra track and the Holy Shrine today. The SSP was accompanied by ASP Katra Sh. Kameshwar Puri (JKPS), SDPO Katra, SDPO Bhawan, and concerned SHOs. He led an extensive foot patrol starting from Darshani Deodi and Banganga, traversing the entire route up to the Bhawan. During the inspection, SSP Reasi reviewed the effectiveness of access control measures and frisking points along the track. A detailed vulnerability assessment of sensitive locations was carried out to proactively identify and address potential security gaps. The functioning of CCTV surveillance systems, ingress routes along the track, police check posts, and area domination plans were also thoroughly reviewed in comparison with previous security review reports. On-the-spot directions were issued to territorial officers to enhance vigilance and further streamline crowd management measures, ensuring the safety and security of all devotees.
