Operation Sindoor was a promise, we intend to keep it”: Army’s stern message on anniversary

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 7: Marking the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army on Thursday released a high-impact video showcasing precision strikes carried out on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), sending a strong message about India’s continuing resolve to eliminate cross-border terrorism. The one-minute-and-24-second video, issued by the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, captures dramatic visuals of coordinated military operations undertaken during Operation Sindoor. The footage highlights various targeted strikes on terror camps, launch pads, and infrastructure allegedly used for infiltration and planning attacks against India.
The video includes timelines, locations, and operational sequences of the strikes, portraying the preparedness, coordination, and technological capabilities of the Indian armed forces. Explosions at suspected terror hideouts, aerial surveillance visuals, and footage of precision targeting systems form a major part of the presentation, underlining the Army’s offensive capability and rapid response mechanism.
The release of the video comes exactly a year after Operation Sindoor was launched as a major counter-terror initiative aimed at dismantling terror networks operating across the border. The operation was widely seen as a decisive response to repeated attempts by terrorist groups to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir through infiltration, attacks on security forces, and targeting civilians.
Military observers believe the timing of the video release carries both symbolic and strategic significance. By revisiting the visuals of the operation on its anniversary, the Army has sought to reinforce its message of deterrence and demonstrate that India remains prepared to respond firmly to any act of terrorism or provocation originating from across the border.
The concluding part of the video carries a sharp and uncompromising message, making it clear that Operation Sindoor is not merely a completed military action but an ongoing commitment against terrorism.
“Operation Sindoor was a promise, we intend to keep it”, the Army states in the video.
The message further warns: “Those who choose terror will be met with steel in pursuit, fire in assault, finality in outcome.”
In another powerful assertion, the White Knight Corps declares: “The White Knight stands guard-ready, resolute and relentless”.
The strong wording of the message reflects the Army’s hardened posture against terrorism and its emphasis on maintaining operational dominance along the Line of Control and other sensitive sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.
The video has generated significant attention on social media platforms and among defence circles, with many viewing it as both a tribute to the soldiers involved in the operation and a stern warning to terror groups and their handlers across the border.
Security experts say the Army’s decision to publicly release visuals of the strikes also highlights a changing strategic communication approach, where military operations are increasingly being used to send a clear geopolitical and psychological message.
Operation Sindoor remains one of the most talked-about counter-terror operations in recent years, particularly in the Jammu region, where the White Knight Corps has been actively engaged in anti-terror operations, border management, and maintaining security in vulnerable areas.
The anniversary video not only commemorates the success of the operation but also reinforces the Indian Army’s message that its fight against terrorism remains active, uncompromising, and far from over.
