UDHAMPUR, May 7: Udhampur Police, as part of its sustained drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, conducted extensive inspection and checking at various courier offices and cargo establishments across the district. The checking was carried out at multiple courier offices located in Bharat Nagar, Siyal Sallan, Roundomail, Industrial Area and Shiv Nagar. During the operation, police teams were assisted by the Sniffer Dog Squad, which conducted thorough inspection of parcels, consignments and surrounding premises to detect any narcotic substances or other suspicious material. The exercise was aimed at preventing misuse of courier services for transportation of narcotics and other illegal substances, besides maintaining strict surveillance on suspicious activities. Udhampur Police remains committed towards eradicating the menace of drugs and ensuring a safe and secure environment for the public. |
