Jammu, May 13: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) successfully inaugurated the 3rd International Conference on Research and Innovation in Science, Engineering & Technology (RISET–2026), witnessing enthusiastic participation from academicians, researchers, scientists, industry experts, and students from across India and abroad. The conference was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, Hon’ble MLA, Jammu North, in the presence of the Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmendra Magotra, Director, CDC, University of Jammu and Special Guest Sh. Dilbahadur Singh Jamwal. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of YCET in promoting research, innovation, and technological advancement through such international academic platforms. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by bouquet presentation to the distinguished guests by Er. Vidhi S. Singh. On the occasion, the conveners of RISET–2026, Dr. Susheel Kumar Sharma and Dr. Pawnesh Abrol, were felicitated for their valuable contributions and continuous support toward the successful organization of the conference. Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Singh, Director of YCET and Organizing Chairperson of RISET–2026, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the institution’s commitment toward quality technical education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and research-oriented learning. Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics, YCET and Organizing Secretary of RISET–2026, presented an overview of the conference and highlighted the overwhelming participation received from reputed institutions and organizations across India and abroad. During the inaugural session, the official conference proceedings containing selected research papers and technical contributions were formally released by the Hon’ble Chief Guest in the presence of distinguished guests, keynote speakers, faculty members, and participants. Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmendra Magotra appreciated the efforts of YCET Jammu in organizing RISET–2026 and promoting a strong academic and research-oriented environment. He emphasized that research and innovation are essential for technological progress and nation-building, while highlighting the importance of emerging technologies. Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma congratulated the organizers for successfully hosting RISET–2026 and appreciated the institution’s role in promoting research, innovation, and quality technical education. He encouraged students and researchers to contribute actively toward nation-building through scientific research, entrepreneurship and technological innovation aligned with the vision of “Viksit Bharat”. RISET–2026 received a highly encouraging response from the academic and research community. A total of 75 research papers were received from different parts of India and abroad. After a rigorous scrutiny and peer-review process, 43 full-length research papers and 12 abstracts for poster presentations were finally selected for presentation during the conference. |
