GDC Bani organizes signature campaign on "Say No to Drugs" under NMBA

BANI, May 13: Government Degree College (GDC) Bani organized signature campaign on drug awareness, " Say No To Drugs and Yes to Life" under the guidance of worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Neena Gupta, The session aimed to sensitize students and Staff members about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. On the occasion, Chief Guest Prof. (Dr) Neena Gupta encouraged the enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members. Highlighting the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug abuse. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through sports and physical activities, and encouraged students to stay away from substance abuse. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to actively participate, ask questions, and clarify their doubts. More than 100 students actively participated in the programme.
The overall programme was coordinated by Dr J S Soodan, Nodal Officer NMBA, GDC Bani. Among the faculty members present on the occasion were Prof. Naseeb Bhagat, Department of EVS, Dr. Resham Singh, Department of Punjabi, Prof. Akash Zutshi, Department of History, Dr. Narinder Kumar, Department of Dogri, Dr. Nisha Devi Department of Hindi, Dr Sunil Kumar, Department of Urdu. Dr. Reeha Sharma, Department of Education, Dr. Sayeed Ahmed Department of Chemistry, Prof. Firdos Bhat Department of Political Science, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Dar Department Political Science, Dr. Mulkh Raj, Department of Education, and Prof. Rajneesh Kumar, Department of Sociology, Racchpal Sharma and Himanshu Sharma. who have witnessed and appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in such awareness programmes.
