Early Times Report REASI, May 13: As a part of 100 Days Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan launched by District Administration Reasi, Government Polytechnic College Reasi organized a spirited Inter-Departmental Badminton Competition for girls. The event marks a significant milestone in the institution's dedicated campaign to foster a drug-free lifestyle among the youth. The competition was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Arun Bangotra, who emphasized the role of sports in building character and resilience against social evils. He encouraged all participants to take part in the sports activities to keep themselves fit and healthy and play the games with the sportsmanship and lauded the students enthusiasm and underlined the role of sports in nurturing teamwork, perseverance and the leadership's essential virtues for the future. The competition saw an enthusiastic turnout with a total of 34 girls students participating from various academic departments. The matches showcased intense skill and high sportsmanship. The winner was Arti Devi, 4th Semester, Computer Dept., while runner-up (2nd Place) was Shruti, 2nd Semester, Computer Dept. and Third Place Vishali Devi, 4th Semester, Electrical Dept. The event was conducted under the expert supervision of Er Himanshu Bakshi and Parshotam Lal and the judging panel, comprising of Veena Thapa, Nisha Kumari, Akankasha Sharma, Vishali Dubey, and Meenakshi Devi, who ensured the tournament adhered to high technical standards. |
