SSP Doda holds introductory meeting with retired police officers

DODA, May 13: In dedicated efforts to address the welfare and concerns of retired Police personnel, Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Shri Kartik Shrotriya-IPS today convened an introductory meeting with approximately 40 retired Police officers and officials of District Doda to discuss their welfare, wellbeing and grievance redressal. The meeting was also attended by DySP DAR Doda.
Kartik Shrotriya-IPS warmly welcomed the retired officers and acknowledged their dedicated service rendered to the Police Department and society. He emphasized that retired Police personnel are valuable assets whose experience and guidance continue to inspire serving officers and officials.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various welfare-related matters including pension issues, medical assistance, healthcare facilities and other grievances being faced by retired Police personnel. SSP Doda patiently listened to the concerns raised by the retired officers and assured them that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for timely redressal.
Reiterating the importance of maintaining close coordination with retired Police personnel, SSP Doda expressed the department's commitment towards their welfare and dignity. He also encouraged the retired officers to continue contributing positively towards society and strengthening police-public relations through their valuable experience.
During the interaction, various welfare initiatives for retired personnel and their families were highlighted and the retired officers were encouraged to avail the available support systems and welfare measures being provided by the department. The retired officers also raised several issues and concerns, to which SSP Doda gave a patient hearing and assured that their grievances would be promptly forwarded to the appropriate authorities for necessary resolution.
SSP Doda also appealed to the retired Police personnel to continue extending their valuable support and provide inputs from their respective areas regarding any anticipated crime or law and order situation so that timely preventive and corrective measures can be taken in advance.
The retired Police officers expressed gratitude to SSP Doda Shri Kartik Shrotriya-IPS for organizing the interaction programme and appreciated the efforts of District Police Doda in addressing welfare-related issues and maintaining regular liaison with retired personnel.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the department's commitment towards the welfare and wellbeing of retired Police officers and officials.
