Early Times Report JAMMU, June 3: To celebrate WorldBicycle Day, PDUNASS organized a unique slow cycling competition today, testing trainees on patience, balance, and mindfulness. The event kicked off with high enthusiasm as our Course Director, Rizwan Uddin (tweet address), cycled 18 km from his home to reach the venue! Participants pedalled along with striking posters highlighting the multi-fold benefits of cycling. They illustrated how choosing the pedal over the pedal-pulsed engine transforms personal health by boosting cardiovascular fitness. On a larger scale, the posters depicted cycling as a catalyst for building vibrant communities, drastically cutting urban carbon footprints, and healing our Earth. The event successfully underscored that the humble bicycle is a powerful tool for sustainable development. By blending physical endurance with environmental advocacy, trainees successfully pedaled a powerful message: shifting to two wheels is a simple yet profound step toward a healthier lifestyle and a greener, more sustainable planet. |
