| CM Nayab Singh Saini participates in the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog chaired by PM Narendra Modi | | | Early Times Report CHANDIGARH, June 11: The 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog was held on Thursday at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with Chief Ministers from other states, participated in the meeting. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister emphasized that the goal of a Viksit Bharat can be achieved only when the Centre and the States work together in the spirit of "Team India." He stressed the need to focus on skill development, employment generation, entrepreneurship, and human resource development. During the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presented several demands related to Haryana's development. He urged the Central Government to include Haryana among the first 50 industrial parks to be developed under its ambitious industrial development scheme. He also sought a special incentive package to develop Haryana as a semiconductor, data centre, and electronics manufacturing hub. Further, he requested the establishment of a national-level AI Centre of Excellence in Haryana and a special Central package for the development of AI and Global Capability Centre (GCC) hubs. He also sought additional Central assistance for Industrial Model Townships, sector-specific industrial parks, green hydrogen projects, and renewable energy initiatives. He emphasized the need to accord priority to Haryana under the National Innovation and Research Fund. Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the meeting was taking place at a time when India, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is moving rapidly towards the goal of Viksit Bharat-2047 during the Amrit Kaal period. He said that over the last 12 years, a new India has emerged. The decisive decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during challenging situations in the Middle East have demonstrated India's growing strength on the global stage. He further stated that Haryana has prepared its Vision Document-2047 in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat-2047. The state's goal is to contribute more than $1 trillion to the Indian economy by 2047 and raise per capita income to over Rs 40 lakh. Haryana First to Implement the National Education Policy Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the foundation for developing human capital was laid through the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Haryana became the first state in the country to implement the policy. |
