| DC Ramban reviews functioning of Kisan Khidmat Ghars | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, June 11: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a review meeting to assess the establishment, operational status and effectiveness of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) across the district. The meeting focused on strengthening the functioning of KKGs and ensuring their emergence as sustainable grassroots centres for the delivery of agriculture and allied online services. The meeting was informed that 70 Kisan Khidmat Ghars have been established in the district to facilitate farmers' access to government schemes, agricultural inputs, information and citizen-centric services. Among those present were departmental nodal officers, Krishi Udyamis and officers from the Agriculture and allied departments. Reviewing the progress, the Deputy Commissioner directed all nodal officers to maintain close coordination with Krishi Udyamis and regularly monitor the performance of KKGs. He emphasised the need for continuous handholding, mentoring and technical support to help the centres function effectively and achieve financial sustainability. The Deputy Commissioner directed Chief Agriculture Officer Ramban Dr Vinay Kumar Jandial and other officers concerned to make coordinated efforts to strengthen monitoring, enhance field-level support and ensure the long-term success of the initiative. |
