More then just a stress Mental health is one of the most important aspect of a person‘s well-being and yet it is often ignored why? due to lack of awareness towards it. People struggle to understand their emotions. They experience multiple feelings and emotional challenges, but often do not know how to identify and manage this feeling as a result, mental health issue continue to grow silently, specially among young people. As a young person, I have often noticed that mental health struggles can arise from everyday pressure. Being the eldest child in my family. I feel the weight of expectations and responsibility. The pressure to perform well in every other field and the fear of not being productive enough and create can create stress and self doubt. I believe many young people experience similar emotions, but often hesitate to talk about it. In today’s World youth spent a significant amount of time on social media. It helps us to stay connected uninformed, but it can also create pressure. We often compare our lives with the curated online lives of other without knowing their reality behind their post, the constant comparison can affect our confidence, youth, blindly, trust online content blindly, which can further influence their thought and emotions. People struggling with mental health issue, often hesitate to share their feelings or seek help. Many of them are unsure whether their emotions are valid enough to talk about or if they should simply ignore them, some fear being judged while others feel that no one will truly understand what they’re going through. As a result, they keep their struggle to themselves, which can make their situation even more difficult. People struggling with mental health issues should try to talk to their loved ones about their feelings and situations. Sharing thoughts can often reduce emotional burden and bring clarity. If someone feels that they have no one to talk to, journaling can be a helpful way to express emotions and organize thoughts. Taking breaks from constant studying or scrolling, spending time in nature, connecting with God, and maintaining a healthy routine can also contribute to better mental well-being. Along with individual efforts, the government has also taken steps to improve mental health awareness and support systems. Like National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 Tele-MANAS Helpline. Conclusion Mental health should be treated with the same importance as physical health. No one should feel ashamed of speaking about their emotions or seeking help. By creating awareness, encouraging open conversations, and supporting one another, we can build a society where young people feel heard, understood, and valued. |
