SRINAGAR, June 18: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Srinagar Bench, will observe its annual summer vacation from June 22 to July 5, 2026, in accordance with the notified Calendar of Sittings for the year.
According to an official notification, the tribunal has made special arrangements to ensure that matters of urgent nature are addressed during the vacation period.
To facilitate the hearing and disposal of cases that cannot await regular listing after the recess, the competent authority has constituted a Vacation Bench for urgent matters.
The notification states that the Vacation Single Bench comprising Hon'ble Mr. M.S. Latif, Member (Judicial) and Head of Department, shall hold the Vacation Bench on June 25, 2026.
Advocates and litigants intending to file urgent matters during the vacation period have been advised to submit such cases well in advance, clearly specifying the urgency involved so that timely listing before the Vacation Bench can be ensured.
The arrangement has been made to ensure continuity of judicial functioning and expeditious disposal of pressing service-related matters during the tribunal's summer recess.
The notification has been issued with the approval of the competent authority. |
