Early Times Report JAMMU, June 18: Today 12th Nirvaan Divas of Late Hira Lal Chatta, great community activist of Kashmiri Pandits, was commemorated at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Jammu by Amar Balidan Trust, in which large number of people from different walks of life participated with full enthusiasm and with socio cultural devotion. Ex. MLC of BJP, Ajay Bharti was the Chief Guest and Prof. Virender Rawal was the guest of honour in this function. Swamy Kumar ji of Geeta Satsang, Jammu lit the inauguration lamp while Moti Lal Malla, President of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference presided over this function. Eminent speakers included Ashok Kumar Braroo, Sundri Lal Koul, Advocate C L Bhat, Hira Lal Bhat, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, Upinder Chatta and Kanwal Peshin, who highlighted his leadership qualities and contribution for the upliftment of Kashmiri Pandit community in particular and our society in general. Community activist, Dr. Daleep Pandita, who participated by virtual mode, described Late Chatta as Dion of Kashmiri Pandit community, especially during post migration era, who worked tirelessly at the ground level to mitigate difficulties faced by Kashmiri Pandit migrants during their migration from Kashmir. Chief Guest Ajay Bharti assured to fulfill the aspirations of Late H. L. Chatta and Virender Rawal reiterated regardless to his health and domestic attention, Chatta whole heartedly worked for the community and the society in distress. Two minute silence was observed before the commencement of the programme. S.K.Bhat the Secretary highlighted the role of the Trust while Subash Chatta presented the vote of thanks when proceeding of the programme was conducted by S.K. Bhat. |
