| District police Rajouri destroyed 11.689 kilograms of heroin worth crores | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 7: District Police Rajouri today destroyed 11.689 kilograms of heroin seized in FIR No 178/2024 registered at Police Station Nowshera under Sections 8/21/22/27A/29 of the NDPS Act and Sections 111/238 of BNS. The destruction was carried out after obtaining the requisite destruction order under Section 52-A of the NDPS Act from the Hon'ble Court. The seized contraband was disposed of through scientific incineration in the presence of the High-Level Drug Disposal Committee (HLDDC) headed by IGP Crime J&K, strictly in accordance with the provisions of law ensuring complete transparency and accountability throughout the process. The destruction of such a substantial quantity of heroin underscores the relentless efforts of District Police Rajouri in disrupting the narcotics supply chain and preventing seized drugs from re-entering society.
