Drug Peddler arrested, 6.07 grams of Heroin sharp edge weapon recovered

JAMMU, July 7: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substances abuse, R.S Pura Police achieved one more success by recovering 6.07 grams of Heroin (Chita) like substance from the possession of Arjun Kumar @ ZEHER S/o Ravail Chand R/o Chohalla Kothey Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu* from Agra Chak under the jurisdiction of P/S R.S Pura.
A Police team of BPP Agra Chak and P/S R.S Pura under the direction of SHO P/S R.S Pura Inspector Vikram Singh & under the overall supervision of SP HQRs Jammu Ms Anna Lata Sinha IPS, Sh. Gurmeet Singh DySP SDPO R.S Pura on 06.07.2026 at about 1905 hours while on routine Vehicle checking/frisking established naka at Naka point Agra Chak and during naka one Motorcycle without no Plate was seen coming from Kollain towards Baspuar. On seeing police party, the said motorcyclist tried to flee from the spot but overpowered by active officers/officials of naka party. During enquiry he disclosed his name as Arjun Kumar @ jai S//o Ravail Chand R/o Chohallah Kothey Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu and recovered 6.07 grams Heroin like substance and one sharp edge weapon (Tokka)from his possesion. In this regard, a case FIR No.134/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 4/25 Arms Act registered in this Police Station, one accused person has been arrested and contraband has been seized and further investigation is going on.
Jammu Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking and abuse.
