JAMMU, July 7: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Jammu (Rural) Police seized a dumper involved in the unauthorized transportation of mining material within the jurisdiction of Police Post Manwal.
During routine checking, a police party at PP Manwal intercepted a dumper bearing Registration No. JK21G-5325 Upon inspection, the vehicle was found loaded with sand (mining material) being transported without valid permission and the requisite documents.
Accordingly, the vehicle was seized, and the matter has been referred to the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu, for further necessary action under the relevant provisions of the mining laws.
