Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Aug 6: As part of its sustained commitment to community development and youth empowerment, the Indian Army successfully concluded a three-week Motor Driving Skill Development Cadre at Dul, District Kishtwar on 05 August 2026. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 15 youths from the region. The cadre was designed to improve the employability of local youth by providing them with professional driving skills, essential road-safety knowledge and practical training required for employment in the transport and allied sectors. During the course, participants were trained in vehicle handling, traffic regulations, basic maintenance, safe-driving practices and responsible conduct on roads. On successful completion of the programme, all participants were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Indian Army along with learner's licences issued by the RTO, enabling them to take the next step towards gainful employment and self-reliance. The trainees expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for providing them with a valuable platform to develop practical skills and improve their career prospects. The local community appreciated the Army's continued efforts to promote skill development, economic independence and constructive engagement among the youth of remote areas of Kishtwar district. |
