JAMMU, Aug 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has disengaged a Medical Officer appointed on Academic Arrangement Basis at Government Medical College, Srinagar, over prolonged unauthorised absence from dutyAccording to an order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department, the doctor had remained absent since May 1, 2025, despite repeated notices and opportunities to resume duties and explain the absence.
The Government said the continued absence adversely affected patient care at Government Lalla Ded Hospital, Srinagar, and ordered the doctor's disengagement with effect from May 1, 2025, in accordance with the provisions governing Academic Arrangement Basis appointments. |
