SAMBA, Aug 6: In a humanitarian gesture, Samba Police achieved a heartwarming success by reuniting a mentally challenged man from Himachal Pradesh with his family after a separation of nearly 15 years. The man was found wandering within the jurisdiction of Police Post Rajpura under Police Station Ghagwal. During the preliminary enquiry, police officials observed that he appeared to be mentally challenged and was unable to provide complete details about his identity. Police after meticulous enquiries, established his identity as Anil Kumar S/o Late Ambru R/o Khior tehsil Bharmour district Chamba (Himachal Pradesh). Following the identification, Samba Police successfully contacted his family members after hectic efforts and informed them about his safe recovery. After completing the due verification process and all necessary legal formalities, Anil Kumar was safely reunited with his family today at Police Post Rajpura. The family members who had lost contact with him approximately 15 years ago and had little hope of ever seeing him again, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Samba Police for their dedicated efforts in reuniting their missing family member. |
