Samba police arrested 2 drug peddlers with 10 grams Heroin-like substance 8/6/2026 9:55:03 PM Early Times Report SAMBA, Aug 6: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers hailing from district Budgam and recovered approximately 10 grams heroin like substance from their possession within the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur. A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur during naka checking near AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted two pedestrians who was moving in the area under suspicious circumstances. During their search, approximately 10 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession. The drug peddlers identified as Aaqib Ali S/o Ali Mohd Wani R/o Alamdar Colony Batpora tehsil Chadoora District Budgam and Zubair Ahmed Baba S/o Mukhtar Ahmed Baba R/o Humhama tehsil & district Budgam have been arrested and contraband item has also been seized. A case FIR No.135/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
