Rajouri attack: Terrorists used mobile phones of some villagers
Women among 50 detained for questioning to get a clue about terrorists

Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 18: Investigating agencies have identified some women who reportedly provided meals to the terrorists involved in the gruesome killings of seven civilians in twin-terror attacks in the Dhangri village of Rajouri on January 1 and January 2. Highly placed sources said that agencies are questioning these women to get a vital clue about the whereabouts of the terrorists. “In the month of December terrorists have reportedly used the mobile phone of a woman who has been detained by the investigating agencies”, sources said. Over 50 persons, including half a dozen women, have been detained for questioning over the killings of seven persons in the twin-terror attacks in Dhangri village. Earlier, the police said some vital leads have been secured in the investigation as some detained persons admitted having contact with terrorists during questioning. Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 18: Reports said that police posters announcing a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone giving credible information about the terrorists have also come up at various places in Rajour district. As reported earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Police announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for anyone sharing information about terrorists involved in the twin attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. “Anybody sharing any specific information about terrorists involved in the gruesome terror attacks at Dhangri village shall be rewarded with Rs 10 lakh,” a poster issued by the police mentioned. Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 18: Even as the Bharat Jodo Yatra is scheduled to reach its last leg of the marathon yatra, which started from Kerala and will end in Jammu and Kashmir, the J&K administration is mulling “restrictions” on the movement of the Yatra for its safe journey enroute. Sources said in the wake of security concerns in terror infested Jammu and Kashmir, the administration may have to “impose restrictions” to ensure safety of the Congress leadership including Rahul Gandhi. Bomb found inside tiffin in Rajouri, diffused

Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 18: Security forces found an improvised explosive device (IED) in a tiffin box at Kheora ward no 1 of Rajouri town in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday evening. The location from where the armed forces recovered the IED is 300 metres away from a government medical college. A bomb disposal squad reached the spot and diffused the IED. IAF commences Kargil courier services, airlifts 35 passengers

Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 18: The Indian Air Force on Wednesday commenced a key air courier service that serves the people of Kargil and ferried more than 30 people to and fro Srinagar, officials said. The civilian population of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh face challenges in the winters due to closure of road from Srinagar to Kargil due to snowfall. "As many as 35 passengers were lifted today. Sixteen passengers were airlifted from Srinagar to Kargil and 15 passengers from Kargil to Srinagar in the Indian Air Force AN-32 aircraft", an official said. Four passengers, including a patient, were also lifted in Mi-17 and Pawan Hans helicopters from Kargil to Srinagar, they said. ...
