Jammu, Oct 10: The Government Medical College and Hospital administration is once again in limelight, as usual for another controversy and this time a total of 24 names in the selection list of 70 Safaikaramcharis, went missing mysteriously, signalling an alleged recruitment scandal. But officials claimed that it was a typographical error.
As per the order No. AHJ/2016/96 dated:- 11-04-2016, the decision of the Selection Committee was communicated to the Administrative Department and further instructions in the matter were solicited; Consequent upon the approval conveyed by the Administrative Department vide Letter No: ME/Legal/NG/79/2015-M dated: 08-09- 2016 and the decision taken by the Selection Committee in its meeting held on dated:- 04-04-2016, the below mentioned 70 candidates are hereby provisionally appointed to the post of Safaikaramchari in the pay scale (4440-7440 + Grade pay 1300) in pursuance to the Advertisement Notice No:- AHJ/3307-12 dated :- 28-01-2013.

Jammu, Oct 10: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua has devised new methods to defeat the order of the Director School Education (DSE) putting all transfers on hold.
The CEO instead of using the word 'transfer' in the orders, mentions 'utilization of services', allegedly for rehabilitating the teacher to a particular school.
For example, vide order number CEOK/43607-10, dated 6/10/2016, the CEO has asked Darvinder Singh, teacher Government Middle School Ramnagar Zone Lakhanpur, to report to the Head Master Government High School Govindsar in order to teach Maths on need basis till academic session 2016-17.

Srinagar, Oct 10: The J&K government does not have actual figures of the families living under Below Poverty Line (BPL) in the state.
The government, official sources say, is relying on the figures of the census that was conducted in 2001. Even as a census was held in 2011, there has been no survey conducted that would reveal the actual figures of the families living under the below poverty line. "The government is in the possession of the figures put forth by the census in 2001," said a senior official, adding that the government till date hasn't contemplated the need to have a fresh survey done.
