MHA convenes fresh meeting on Kashmir killings

Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: In the wake of fresh killings by militants in Kashmir, the Union Home Ministry chaired a high-level meeting to review the evolving situation. Sources said on November 10 on the instructions of Union Home Minister, Amit Shah a high level meeting was held in the national capital. Shah, who recently visited Jammu and Kashmir is understood to have taken a “serious note of the uneasy situation.” Sources said some of the officials from Kashmir attended the meeting online. Sources said the meeting that lasted for around two hours discussed that that how come two persons got killed within 24 hours in Kashmir and that if there were possible chances of lapse on the part of the security forces. It was reliably learnt that New Delhi sought “precise reasons” behind the killings in Kashmir. Mr Mawa also claimed that he escaped the attack as he left his shop early due to a prior intelligence input, but his salesman Mohammad Ibrahim Khan was shot dead near his shop in Bohri Kadal area of the city on Monday. Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Anantnag, Nov 10: After multiple tests, the Food Safety and Standards Department in Kashmir has found P-Mark mustard oil of substandard quality and seized around 700 tins across Kashmir. The officials however claim that the seized tins of mustard oil could be counterfeit and falsely branded as P-Mark Mustard edible oil. According to reports, Kulgam Police last month seized a truck bearing registration number JK13E-9933 ferrying P-Mark Mustard edible oil from Kulgam to Jammu in suspicious circumstances.
