Intelligence officer's death due to negligence: Helpless father moves from pillar to post to get justice

Early Times Report jammu, Nov 8: Even after the passing of four months, a helpless father is moving from pillar to post to get justice for his son who died due to the negligence of doctors in a private hospital of Jammu. A resident of Patiala, the deceased officer of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Himanshu Sharma was posted in Jammu. He died under mysterious circumstances on July 7, 2021, in a private hospital. After a written complaint of the father of the deceased, the Director, Health Services, Jammu, had constituted a panel to find out the cause of the death. Sources said that the said panel found that the staff at the hospital, especially the homeopathic doctor, were not qualified enough to handle such a medical emergency. Consequently, the treatment protocol was not followed professionally, the panel established. Himanshu accompanied by his father Vinay Sharma reached a private hospital in Jammu on July 7, 2021, with a complaint of stomach ache. Official sources told that the suspected militants fired upon a salesman of a shop in Bohri Kadal area of Downtown and injured him critically. Early Times Report jammu, Nov 8: Police on Monday recovered one Ak-47 rifle from fields in Arnia area here in the city outskirts. Police said that one Ak-47 rifle was found in fields in bordering Arnia belt. "The weapon is seized and search operation is launched," said the police. Notably, on November 5, two persons were shot dead and one was critically wounded in village Kothe of Arnia when 'unidentified' gunmen shot at them. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 8: Security forces on Monday arrested an armed Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist during a search operation in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Official sources said security forces during the joint search operation at Wahadan area arrested Hafiz Abdullah Malik a resident of Ganjipora and recovered a pistol and seven rounds of ammunition from his possession.
