Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 1: The close family members of former Chief Minister and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah, who were recently detained for holding protests in Srinagar were released from jail only after they gave a written undertaking to the government that they "would not disrupt peace(in Kashmir any further)." Sources said the women duo from Abdullah family signed the bond wherein they took pledge that they would not resort to protests any further nor would they "resort to any such activity that spoils" the atmosphere in Kashmir. A senior official told Early Times that on being detained, the two women from the Abdullah family had argued with the concerned authorities that as to why they had been shifted to the Central Jail Srinagar after having been caught protesting by the Kothi Bagh Police Station in the commercial hub of Srinagar. Agencies NEW DELHI, Nov 1: The central government has bestowed on itself the authority to declare any area in the newly-created Union Territories (UTs) of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh as "disturbed" under the controversial AFSPA, which gives sweeping powers to security forces to act against any suspect.
