JAMMU, Nov 6: Days after the DDC polls in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir were announced by the central government, NC patriarch Dr Farooq Abdullah has kept the China praising and Pakistan rhetoric behind, declaring that the people of the erstwhile state want to remain with the Union of India.
“If Jammu and Kashmir wanted to go to Pakistan, they would have done so in 1947. No one could have stopped it,” Abdullah said while speaking to reporters here.

Jammu, Nov 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) is facing staff shortage as no rationalization has been done since its inception, sources told Early Times on Friday.
They said that there has always been shortage of regular staff as compared to sanctioned strength in the company. “This has ultimately affected the functioning of the corporation.”
Sources said that the company has not framed any recruitment and promotion policy since the day it started functioning. There is a huge difference in sanctioned strength and actual person-in-position of regular staff, they added.

JAMMU, Nov 6: The entire Jammu province had to face an open discrimination in the allocation of kerosene oil by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) for the month of August and September this year.
Surprisingly the ten districts of Jammu province have got merely 792 kilolitres of Kerosene Oil supply for two months, while for the same months the Kashmir province got over nine times more volumes of oil that was 5496 kilo litres of oil.
