Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 31: A retired firefighter, who superannuated in 2017, is finding it hard to get his wife treated for a heart ailment as his pension and other dues have not been settled till date due to someone tearing the first page of his service book. He has urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene for settlement of his pension as well as other dues as he has not been left with a single penny for treatment of his ailing wife. When he retired from service, he applied for release of dues and pension, he came to know that someone has torn the first page of his service book and since then he has been running from pillar to post to get his case settled. “I appeal to LG sahib to either settle my case or give me a loan so that I can continue treatment of my ailing wife”, said Gh. But the J&K administration has not lifted the curbs as the restaurants close down in the union territory by 9 pm. If any establishment violates the timing order heavy fine is imposed.
