Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Anantnag, May 1: Despite clear-cut directions from the higher authorities, the administration in Anantnag district of South Kashmir has again failed to take over some private nursing homes for providing exclusive treatment to pregnant women who report from Red and Buffer Zones of the district. On Thursday, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K. Pole had regretted the death of pregnant women at Maternity and Child Care Hospital Anantnag and directed Deputy Commissioner to take over a private nursing home for providing ‘exclusive’ treatment to pregnant women from red and buffer zones, however sources revealed to Early Times that on Friday the administration although discussed the issue but didn’t arrive at any conclusion. “DC Shab conveyed a meeting related to the issue. These cases were reported from as many as seven districts of the valley. With today’s fresh cases the number of positive cases in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir has reached 639. Since 247 COVID-19 patients have recovered and eight others have died the number of active cases of Corona Virus in Jammu & Kashmir are 384.
