EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 2: Recently Bhartiya Janata Party leaders addressed party workers of both Jammu and Kashmir regions telephonically. A source told Early Times that one of the leaders was assigned the job to arrange the teleconference so that a message could be sent across that the BJP leaders in J&K are not sitting idle. The source said that two top party leaders addressed the workers and counted the achievements of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. These leaders couldn’t highlight even a single achievement of the J&K unit in the ongoing fight against the COVID-19. “One of the party leaders said that after he donated a certain amount for PM’s Cares fund, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, thanked him for his gesture,” the party leader said. “He had only that much to describe as his contribution in the fight against the pandemic,” the leader added. The Panchayat elections were conducted in November-December 2018 for 4483 Panchayats with a Sarpanch for each Panchayat Halqa and 35029 Panchs in Jammu and Kashmir.
