Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, May 4: A daughter of a PDP worker has been denied a seat in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) training despite having recommendation letters of the party legislators and requests made to the Minister for Health. Ghulam Qadir Malik, PDP's block president in Bharath, Doda, said that his daughter Mehnaz Akhter had passed her higher secondary in Science stream during session 2013-14. Since then she has been struggling to get a seat in GNM at AMT School Jammu. "Belonging to an economically poor and backward area, we made a representation to the Governor as the coalition government was yet to be formed. Our case was put up for nomination, but the order was not issued as all powers were shifted to new coalition government. But since then we don't know what happened to our nomination," said Malik.
