Jammu, June 10: After the killing of 10 workers near Nashri Nallah in Ramban district, the Union Government has appointed a panel to probe the reason for the tragedy but the team has yet to make its findings public.
Within hours after the tragedy on May 19, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had constituted a three-member panel to ascertain the reason for the tragedy in which 10 poor workers were killed.
The panel was headed by Professor J T Sahu of IIT Delhi and it was announced that the panel will submit the report to the ministry within 10 days. The state-owned National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has already initiated a process to handle such emergency situations and it is also taking all possible measures to avoid such incidents in the future.

Jammu, June 10: The situation in three districts of Jammu region is "tense" but under control after authorities imposed prohibitory orders in view of protests triggered by objectionable posts in the social media.
The administration on Thursday night imposed restrictions in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts after trouble in Bhaderwah town when an objectionable post went viral on the social media, hurting the sentiments of a particular community.

Jammu, June 10: Other then few incident of violence in Bhaderwah town of Doda District, majority of the parts in twin Districts of Doda and Kishtwar witnessed no untoward incident following the imposition of curfew in the area after hate speech by a local preacher followed by a blasphemy post on social networking site “Instagram” by a class 9th students that triggered massive late night protest in Bhadarwah that led to the imposition of curfew in majority parts of the Chenab valley.
