BJP pursuing separatists’ ideology to divide Jammu on communal lines
Spokesman used “objectionable” term Chenab Valley; party has yet not issued any clarification
6/12/2020 11:47:48 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, June 12: Tasting power for the first time in the political history of J&K, BJP is ready to sacrifice its ideology to appease different sections of the society, even separatists. On Thursday, BJP organized a series of press conferences across Jammu region to highlight six-year achievements of the Narendra Modi led government at the Centre. In connection with this series, a press conference was organized at Doda for which the party has deputed its spokesperson, Abhijit Jasrotia, who repeatedly used the controversial term Chenab Valley for the erstwhile Doda district, comprising Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar districts. Shockingly Jasrotia’s press conference, with heading of Chenab Valley, has been published in almost all newspapers but party leadership has not issued any clarification which is a clear indication that BJP has also decided to divide Jammu on communal lines as per separatist ideology. Important to mention here that BJP had earlier always objected to the use of term ‘Chenab valley’ for the Muslim-majority areas of the Jammu province. While...
