Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, June 6: The much awaited and possible surgical strike on corruption in the Union Territory of J&K is likely to take place soon, as the Chief Secretary has called a high level meeting of around a dozen top officers of the important departments including the Director Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), at Civil Secretariat here on Monday (8th June). Highly placed sources informed Early Times the steps being taken on the intervention of Lieutenant Governor, as numbers of corruption related complaints received by the Raj Bhawan has increased in the recent past. “Through various channels including Jammu and Kashmir Online Grievance Redressal Portal, letter through e-mails the Raj Bhavan has received a large number of complaints of unabated corruption in the government departments. Acting tough against corruption the LG has decided to initiate tough measures against the corruption to eradicate the menace from the system”, sources said. Early Times Report JAMMU, June 6: The Government on Saturday informed that 143 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 43 from Jammu division and 100 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 3467. Also, 3 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 1 from Jammu division and 02 from Kashmir division. Moreover, 40 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, 15 from Jammu Division and 25 from Kashmir Division.
