Jehangir Rashid Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 31: The schools located in the far-off places in Jammu & Kashmir have a very poor student-teacher ratio as at some places a single teacher is found imparting education to 100 or more students. However, there are some schools in the Kashmir valley where the ratio is very favourable with number of teachers outnumbering the number of students. There are some of the schools where the number of teachers is equivalent to the number of students. Sources told Early Times that some of the schools located at the fringe of the summer capital of the state are showing more than positive student-ratio with wives of high profile personalities discharging their duties at these schools. These schools are located in the proximity of the Srinagar airport and fall in the Budgam district. "Forty seven (47) teachers are posted in these schools to 159 students.
