Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 27: Except for spending a huge amount from the exchequer of the cash-starved J&K government, authorities have done nothing to face the challenge of the possible third wave of the deadly Coronavirus. On the one hand, the government has flowing funds worth crores on the advertisement to ‘fight’ the deadly virus while on the ground nothing concrete has been done. The government through its advertisement is asking the people to get themselves vaccinated while as in the vaccination centres doses are not available in the vaccination centres. Most of the vaccination centres are facing a shortage of the vaccine due to delay in supply of vaccine in these centres especially set-up of immunization. For the last two days, people are facing hardship in different areas of the Samba district due to the non-availability of the vaccine. As per data available, till August 25, authorities have failed to inoculate the first dose to even all health workers across Jammu and Kashmir. JK reports 166 new positive cases, 319259 recovered so far

EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Aug 27: The Government on Friday informed that 166 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 44 from Jammu division and 122 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 324813. Also one Covid death has been reported from Jammu Division. Moreover, 76 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 36 from Jammu Division and 40 from Kashmir Division.
