Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 30: The ‘goof-up’ on the part of BJP to arrange meeting of prominent National Conference leader Mian Altaf with party’s national general secretary Ram Madhav was result of internal politics within the disciplined party. Credible sources in the BJP said that party leadership was desperately trying to rope in a credible and respectable face in Kashmir Valley to further strengthen the party in the Valley. “Instead of facilitating meetings of central leaders with some credible leaders from Kashmir, some Valley based leaders of the party are rather creating hurdles in bringing some mass base leaders into the party fold”, sources said. Insiders in the BJP said that party leadership was desperately trying to open a channel of communication with Mian Altaf who has a strong following across Jammu and Kashmir regions. Agencies New Delhi, Aug 30: The Centre has asked all its departments to review the service records of employees who have completed 30 years in the job to identify inefficient or corrupt staff and retire them prematurely in public interest, a Personnel Ministry order read. The employees' performance review is conducted under the Fundamental Rule (FR) 56 (J) and 56 (I), and also under Rule 48 (1) (b) of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972, that gives "absolute right" to the appropriate authority to retire a government servant, "if it is necessary to do so in public interest".
