Traitors get VVIP treatment in Kashmir
At the cost of Nation
9/14/2015 11:55:57 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 14: A disturbing and startling report emanated from New Delhi on Sunday. It said that the Jammu & Kashmir Government has spent close to Rs 560 crore for the "maintenance" of Kashmiri separatist leaders in the past five years. The report was based on the information given by "officials" in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). This huge amount has been spent on their travel and accommodation in Kashmir, their elaborate security cover as well as travel out of the valley and stay in five-star hotels in New Delhi whenever they visit the national capital for talks with Government officers and foreign dignitaries. Sources within the J&K Government, who are aware of this, according the report, also said that close to 1,500 police officers have been deployed at the residences of these separatist leaders to act as their personal security officers (PSOs) and security officers. This privilege has been extended even to other "uncategorized political activists", who have a history of promoting separation of Kashmir from India, the disturbing report said. Quoting off...

PDP-BJP to oppose NC's 'communal' bill
9/14/2015 11:55:24 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 14: The PDP-BJP alliance will oppose any bill by the National Conference to seek changes in the Ranbir Penal Code that bans sale of beef in the State. The coalition partners will rather give a reply to the court in the next hearing scheduled after four weeks. "The NC's likely bill about bring changes in the RPC is purely on communal lines. The party knows that if a bill is accepted it will have strong reactions in the country and will make things uncomfortable for the alliance. It's deliberately trying to create a wedge between the two partners for petty gains," said sources. They said the beef ban is religiously and politically too hot issue. The politic...

BJP leaders disappoint Jammuites
9/14/2015 11:55:09 PM
ET Report JAMMU, Sept 14: Ban on slaughtering of bovine animals and sale of beef in Jammu and Kashmir has taken away the focus from imposition of tax on chopper service to Vaishno Devi shrine and inability of BJP leaders to revoke this decision. The Jammu based Members of Legislative Assembly including Minister have failed to look after the interests of people of Jammu on the whole. They have been swayed by the Kashmir oriented and Kashmir centric politics of PDP and other parties and seem to have forgotten the real issues of people of Jammu region. Imposition of 12.5 per cent extra tax on chopper service hurts pilgrims of Vaishno Devi but Jammu leaders have not uttered a single word in ...

Bharat Bhushan Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 14: In a state like J&K, where terror outfits and their mentors have no work other than continuing with their wicked ways of devising new strategies to terrorise people and disturb peace, a soft target won't be ever missed by them. The way these leaders have maintained a silence on this most heinous and inhuman act committed by some miscreants is a clear indication that these so-called "Rehnumas" of Kashmir have doled out license of lumpen elements to do anything in the name of "Azadi". Shockingly these lea...
