| Gurezi visits remote areas of Tulail, listen’s people’s problems | | Asks for speeding up the pace of developmental works | |
GUREZ: Minister of State for PHE Irrigation & Flood Control Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today visited various inaccessible areas of Tulail including SudeeKalshay, NeeruNallah and GratNallah in Bandipora district and took stock of the people’s problems.
During his tour several deputations called on the Minister and apprised him about their individual and collective problems which included construction of protections bunds, up gradation of school buildings, construction of playing filed at Tulail, developing Tulail on tourism map and opening of animal and Sheep Husbandry Centres in Tulail area. The Minister gave them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into and shall be addressed in a phased manner.
Mr. Gurezi also inspected various educational institutions including Government Middle School, Hussangam and directed the Zonal Education Officer, Gurez to suspend the headmaster immediately for being unauthorizedly absent and take disciplinary action against him. He also directed to ensure the punctuality and regularity in all educational institutions of the Tehsil Gurez.
Later on, the Minister addressed a large public meeting at SudeeKalshay and said that the Government led by young and dynamic Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has initiated several welfare and developmental programmes for all sections and regions of the State. He said the contribution of Sheri-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah towards the welfare of the people of the State will be remembered for ever. He appealed the people to strengthen the hands of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for the initiatives being taken for the betterment and welfare of the people of the State. He also sought cooperation from people to speed up the pace of developmental works under execution in the Tehsil.
Earlier, the Minister convened a district officers meeting at Dawar and took stock of the overall developmental works under execution in the district Bandipora especially in Tehsil Gurez. He directed the district administration to work with utmost zeal and dedication and speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental projects in the Tehsil.
District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, Mr. M. Y. Zargar were also present on the occasion. |
