| GCWF, AVM condemn caste, religion based reservation | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 14: Jammu Kashmir General Category Welfare Forum (JKGCWF) and Aarakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM) Jammu condemned cast and religion based reservation as it negates the principle of Equality and Justice.
Addressing the media persons, Syed Shameem Ahmad and Ram Pal Seth said that in future both the organizations will work under the banner of All Jammu & Kashmir General Category Welfare Forum. They said that reservation is a big hindrance in the implementation of Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas. The reservation has become the monopoly of a minority group of economically more advanced among the reserved category.
They further said that reservation is a kiss of death and its continuation is miscarriage of Justice. Reservation kills talent & promotes inefficiency.
JKGCWF demanded abolition of all special privileges & subsidies and also abolition of Social Welfare department, demanded an establishment People Welfare Department for the welfare of needy deserving people of all castes and religion. Among others who were present on the occasion included Raj Kumar Banathia, Yash Pal Senson, GM Akhoon, Syed Shamim Ahmad, Sat Pal Sharma, BN Bali, GM Sheikh, GM Dar, VK Sharma, Bhushan Pargal, Deepak Khajuria, Som Nath Sharma, Tara Singh, Ravi Sawhney, DN Sandhu and others. |
