JAMMU, Feb 14: Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar today said that infrastructure plays an important role to enhance efficiency of an Organisation to provide better service to the people. Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of the corporate office of Police Housing Corporation (PHC) at Narwal here Rajendra said that JKP, under its modernization scheme has launched a mega construction programme to strengthen its components and enhanced living and working facilities of its Jawans and officers. Various buildings, barracks and alternate accommodations were constructed at various locations to accommodate the personnel. Giving details about the project Rajendra said that the building has been constructed by PHC within a period of 3 years at a cost of Rs. 582.34 lakhs. The corporate office having two basements each of 7000 Sft. area for parking is having total area of 36556 sft. He said that the work load of Police Department has increased manifolds and it has become imperative to strengthen the building infrastructure to improve our efficiency and capability. Earlier Managing Director, PHC,. Dilbag Singh briefed the DGP about the salient feature of the project. He said that the corporate office has inbuilt all modern facilities in view of new trend of corporate culture. The inaugural function was attended by ADsGP, SP Vaid, Navin Aggerwal, VK Singh and SM Sahai, IsGP, Dr. B Srinivas, HK Lohia, Deepak Kumar, SJM Geelani, Alokpuri, MA Khan, Rajesh Kumar, Mukesh Singh, SL Sharma, Jagjit Kumar, SA Watali and JP Singh, DIsGP, Parminder Singh, SA Mujtaba and Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, SE PHC, SK Shah, AIsGP, Sheikh Junaid Mahmood, Rajeshwar Silngh and SZ Azad, Exn, PHC, Sunil Kumar Gupta and other police officers. |
