Vishwa Bharati Celebrates Maha Shiv Ratri

JAMMU, Feb 14: Maha Shiv Ratri, the festival of Lord Shiva and Shakti was celebrated with traditional fervour and gaiety at Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School .The programme was attended by Swami Shri Kumar ji Maharaj chief guest of the occasion, prominent members of the Satisar foundation Jammu and all the governing Board members which include Dr. O.P Razdan Vice-President Vishwa Bharati women welfare Institution , J.L.Koul Secretary College of Education and Public School, Dr. S.K.Koul Treasurer Jammu Units. Besides,the programme was attended by Prof. Sunita Kampassi Principal College of Education and entire teaching fraternity of college of Education and School.
The Programme started with Ganesh Satuti which was followed by an impressive and brief Welcome address by the Principal of the School Prof. Annapurna Kaul. Besides giving significance of the day she wished everyone a happy and prosperous Shiv Ratri. The day long Programme included religious songs, Bhajans and Speeches by music Squad of the School. Students from college of education also displayed their talent by dancing to the tune of a song sung in admiration of Lord Shiva, speeches were also delivered by some Pupil teachers.
Swami Shri Kumar ji Maharaj, Shrimad Bhagwat Gita Pracharak was the chief guest on this occasion. Admiring the performance of all those who participated in the exercise, he gave the detailed significance of the festival and unique way of its celebration by Kashmiri Pandits. He lauded the role of the school management and wished for its progress by leaps and bounds.
J.L Koul admired the role of all those who contributed in one way or the other to make this event a Success. He prayed, let this festival of Lord Shiva and Shakti bestow upon us the true spirit of dedication and devotion towards the assignment entrusted by us. The Programme was compared by Arushi and Himakshi both students of class 11th while vote of thanks was presented by Sanjai.
