Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 14: SEEDS OF HOPE "Visions of Sustainability, steps towards change" Exhibition organized by Bharat Soka Gakkai came to a gala end yesterday.
The Exhibition got an overwhelming response from educational institutions, about 56. Schools and Colleges with 4500 Students attended the exhibition. The Students who are the future of mankind contributed the most by giving suggestions and comments towards the betterment of society and made this exhibition a grand success.
The Fundamental purpose of the exhibition was to inculcate the feeling of Empowerment and Responsibility within the visitors so that we can at least take the first step from a century of destruction towards a century of Hope and this exhibition successfully accomplished this purpose. A total of about 9000 visitors viewed the exhibition in just a span of 6 days.
Eminent Dignitaries like Madan Dogra (Environmentalist), Vijay Bakaya ( Ex Chief Secretary) , Prof. Meenakshi Kilam (Jammu University) , Mehbood Beg (Former Lok Sabha MP) , Sarla Kohli (Social Reformer), Regional Director Red Cross, etc attended the exhibition and applauded the efforts made by Bharat Soka Gakkai in organizing such an Event which has never ever been organized in Jammu.
Finally the exhibition was concluded in a rather special way when the volunteer duties were taken over by Children themselves and they started explaining the panels to the visitors. IT was a delightful sight to see the elders listening so keenly to children and children trying to explain everything to the best of their abilities as if this was to show that the Seeds Sown by Bharat Soka Gakkai through this exhibition are sure to harvest soon .
